PONTE EN:

THE GLORY OF GOD MANIFESTED OVER RURAL SPAIN!

Yes, it is true. There are thousands of towns and villages, large areas in rural Spain, which are considered until now as not reached by the pure and holy Gospel of Christ. For centuries, tradition has taken center stage, with multitudes bowing down in adoration and/or veneration, praying to gods that neither see nor hear (see Isaiah 46:5-7). Likewise, disbelief abounds, since there is no greater foolishness than denying and rejecting the Creator, God.

But in the midst of this context, there is a God who goes above all this, and has promised in these end times to manifest His glory like never before throughout the earth and even in the most remote place. This is also the case in rural Spain, in every town and village in the territory. The glory of God, manifested as a wave of grace by the action of the Spirit of God bringing salvation, peace and healing to people’s lives, is fully available to the inhabitants of rural Spain.

Part of the evangelistic team crying out to God for the inhabitants of the small town of Peracense.

The MECES Spain team, through the evangelization project in rural areas, can say that tens of thousands of lives and homes are receiving the good news of salvation in Christ Jesus, as we were able to share the following with them in prayer: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6: 24-26 NIV). Indeed, the true and eternal peace of mankind consists in placing our faith in Jesus Christ God, finding the treasure of having our soul at peace with God, by the regenerating and cleansing work of the Holy Spirit of God, as we repent of our sins.

Once again, during the fifth phase of evangelization in the Sierra de Albarracín (Teruel) and the Alto Tajo Natural Park (Guadalajara) – a phase developed during the first five months of 2023 – the glory of God has been poured out, illuminating people’s lives and villages with the Truth of the Gospel, and we hope in prayer that many will respond and open the door of their hearts to the Blessed Savior Jesus Christ.

«How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation! (Isaiah 52:7 NIV).

On this occasion, a team of missionaries from the United States of America came and stayed with us for a week: Pastor Mark Stoltzfus, Dr. Jeff Karvandi, and the young servants of God, Nicholas and Daniel.

Mark is part of the “ Vision Beyond Borders” (VBB) international mission team. He is also the Pastor of an evangelical Christian church in the state of Montana (USA). He brought a powerful word from God to the Christian people in Spain and Europe, encouraging us by reminding us the following: “The glory of God is greater than the darkness of this world. There are more angels with us than in Satan’s camp. When the enemy comes like a river, God raises a standard against him. See the glory of God illuminating Spain and Europe, and consider in faith what God wants to do through you, people of God. Even though we are in a dark place, we do not see the darkness, we see the glory of God. God does not want us to be overwhelmed by evil, but instead to shine in faith and see how God sees. We know that the Word of God will not return void. I firmly believe that there will be a revival in Spain and in Europe. Rise and shine! When we get up, we give God great opportunities to move in Spain”.

Thus, as the MECES team, we indeed believe that this will happen in rural Spain, where in faith we see what God is doing, and the abundant fruit for the glory of God that the sowing will produce. We glorify God for His wonderful work in rural Spain! And we thank God for the visit of Pastor Mark and his team; they are such a blessing to this nation.

Remembering the words that Dr. Jeff Karvandi shared with the team, it is very encouraging to know that: «As branches are connected to the vine, we must remain connected to the Lord. Therefore the fruit of the sowing that we carry out will come naturally, since we don’t disconnect from the vine. So, we must not worry about the fruit or try to force its growth, because it is up to God to produce it in due time. Most importantly, stay connected to Jesus through His Spirit, do His work, and the fruit will come abundantly” (see John 15:5- 8).

Eliane and Violeta, part of the MECES Spain team, doing fundamental work in the logistics and management of the project.

Regarding the logistics of the project, its development would not have been possible without the enormous preparation work before, during and after the project, of active members of the MECES Spain ministry. A huge thank you to Eliane for directing the project and simultaneous English-Spanish translations, and to Violeta and Francisco for their enormous logistical and evangelistic work. Likewise,we would like to thank Chao-Yang, as she put a lot of effort into editing the evangelistic materials created specifically for this region of Teruel and Guadalajara. Also, we give thanks to all those who have collaborated, in one way or another, be it with their prayers, with their offerings or in any other way. And above all, we thank the Triune God for His work in our midst, because we know that «we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand for us to walk in them» (Ephesians 2:10 KJV).

Sharing the Gospel in Tramacastilla.

However, the evangelistic projects in this and other regions of empty Spain have not ended. Instead, a global call to national and international missions regarding the urgent need to send workers that would settle in these regions is our cry. We offer our collaboration and all the information we have, in favor of any national or international evangelical religious entity that needs guidance or help in this regard. Jesus Christ also gave his life on Calvary’s Cross for the inhabitants of rural Spain. Let’s not forget about them. Let us sow time and resources so that we can see a rural Spain truly transformed by the power of Christ.

Be blessed in Christ Jesus.
